I have a ball coming up next week and haven't found a suitable dress! Even though technicially it is a ball, it's the kind of event where you can go wearing anything between dressy cocktail to full on ball gown. Most tend to go with the dressy cocktail option, which is what I'm tending towards this year (having worn a floor length dress last year). Here are a couple of options that I've tried on so far, all from the fabulous Manning Cartell boutique in The Strand (Sydney). Sorry about the dodgy iphone pics, let me know what you think! I'm leaning toawrds the black with shoulder clasp and frilll at this point...
The dresses above and below were both one size too big, but you get the idea...

I lurve the one with the frill over the shoulder. Stunning! The one with the white corset and black skirt frill is kind of funky cool as well

Thanks gals! The more I think about it, the more I love the black and I'll probably get some good milage out of it over the party season ahead! xx
